Welcome,
Bloggers and readers. Kintastic 4 is a blog about the kinesiology field and all things related. The four of us are all kinesiology majors, and we hope to provide you with as much information about the field as possible.
Regan:
My name is Regan Tarrow. I am from Northville, Michigan. As a person, I consider myself very outgoing, generous, trustworthy, and honest. I enjoy watching Netflix, reading, and going out with friends. I am a freshman here at Michigan State. I first started out with my major as pre-vet, but changed it to kinesiology. I've always had an interest with physical therapy ever since I had to go as a kid. I would love to become a pediatric occupational/physical therapist because I love working with children. I love sports, watching and playing them. I grew up doing soccer, ballet, jazz, swim, and cheerleading. I love being active. I've hiked mountains and river rock climbed in Alaska. I love learning about the human body and everything that it has to offer.
JT:
My name is John (JT) Lenga. I am from Brighton, Michigan. This is my second semester at MSU, and I am working towards an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. I consider myself to be a kind, stubborn, honest, socially awkward and keeps to himself kind of person. My hobbies include exercising, playing video games, watching TV, and working with computers. The reason I chose Kinesiology as my major is due to my love for exercising and learning how the body can move most efficiently. Exercising, for me, is a way to let go of everything around me, forget about my daily stresses, and build a stronger self for the obstacles life has to throw at me. Being a Kinesiology major, I can spread my knowledge and love for exercising to others and help them get the same feeling I get when I exercise.
Nick:
My name is Nick Izzo with no relation to Tom, our wonderful basketball coach. I come from Rochester, New York which is smack right between Buffalo and Syracuse. I'm a freshman here at MSU studying Kinesiology. I got interested in Kinesiology after I had to go to physical therapy for a few weeks. I was drawn into learning how the body works and how to heal it. Outside of class, I enjoy skiing, playing hockey and golf, and also hanging out with friends. I like to think of myself as a pretty social person. I really enjoy connecting with new people that may not have the same interests as me so I can always learn something new. I'm also a very hard worker. And like anyone else, I always like to see myself succeed in everything I do.
Emily:
My name is Emily Goltz. I am from Newport Beach, California. I am a freshman at Michigan State University and am studying Kinesiology with a focus more on Athletic Training. I became interested in Kinesiology from the many, many hours I spent in physical therapy, with a coach or playing my sport in general. I have played soccer from the time I was four to now. I enjoy learning the ways our body moves and why or how it moves. Outside of school and soccer, I would say I am a hard worker and am very outgoing and loyal. I love to have different things going on all the time and to try new things out. My main goal is to successfully help others learn and improve their bodies.
